Solve : Side-by-side error, not to do with C++? |
|
Answer» Hi, all the usual programs, just not spotify, steam, blizzard app etc What happens if you uninstall Steam or Battlenet ( Blizzard ) and then reinstall those clean? The dependencies should be checked as part of the installer process and maybe a reinstall of on of these will repopulate a dependency that is missing -or- will give you a better explanation in their error MESSAGE to install something that is missing then try again type of error message.Thank you for taking the time to reply. I tried to uninstall either, or any program at all that causes the error but it just appears yet again. Side-by-side error 33 - I attempted to uninstall through the 'Add or Remove Programs' section. Quote In addition I've attempted to install a Windows 10 ISO and restart it that way but to no avail. Just verifying... Does this statement mean that you wiped the hard drive clean and installed clean Windows 10, and then reinstalled all software or were not able to perform a complete clean installation? If able to install clean Windows 10, I would start with Battle.net as the first install after clean to see if World of Warcraft or whatever games you play through it run first. Then if that works with no problems then install another software or game and see if it works and work your way then towards a complete install but always checking after each software or game is installed to make sure its still working, and if you get to a point to where the problem shows up again you then can point the finger at a specific program that is having problems with latest Windows 10 build.Unfortunately I am unable to perform a clean installation of Windows 10 at all. No matter whether I try to wipe the drive, keep files, lose them etc.Why ? ? This ain't normal...Genuinely got no clue. Will probably contact Microsoft as a last resort, if not I'm going to be building one in the near future so may have to persevere with it for now Have you tried to install Windows on a new drive? Please post the steps you use for the clean install that fails...don't make sense. |
