Answer» Hi. I've been trying to find a way to choose which files I'd like to shred in the recycle bin, Win. 10 Pro and then shred them. Simply deleting them is not secure enough for me, someone could recover them.
Anyone have any ideas as how to do this ? I do not want to shred the entire bin... and to recover them just to shred them is not a realistic option, too many files.
Many thanksA simple solution to this problem would be to get a PROGRAM like FileShredder from https://www.fileshredder.org/. It allows you to SELECT exactly what files you would like to be shredded, and they would be deemed unrecoverable.
If you are serious about keeping your data secure and fully erasing your data, I would RECOMMEND keeping this sensitive data on a SEPARATE hard disk, and once finished with SAID files on the disk, doing a DOD level format on the disk with a program like DiskWipe from https://www.diskwipe.org/.
