I have a DELL XPS thats a few years old. whenever i change the screen resolution the entire screen gets smaller INSTEAD of GETTING more gritty. Some games that dont have high resolutions have small displays on my laptop as well. HELP!!!Readjust the screen after choosing another resolution. This is normal behaviour.what do u mean?There are buttons on your monitor. Use these to readjust the screen after choosing another resolution.

Can you connect it to a CRT monitor?

How would I do this?
Type dxdiag in the run box it  will display the adapter used......or download either one of the following> aida32/sisoftsandra/belaric advisor....or goto dells main website......for update drivers.....does this laptop have loads of ram....?
