Solve : Screen jumps...?

Answer»

I just recently moved out of my house and just got my computer back. When I turned it on there were small lines have been going up my screen and whenever I do anything with my mouse the screen jumps and takes a sec to recover. As far as performance everything works normally. I fear it might be the memory, I only have 1024MBs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shipped?
What Windows version? No I boxed it back up and brought it from my old house and the version is VistaOpen the case, and reseat video card (if separate), and RAM. While there, you may USE some compressed air to clean inside.
If that doesn't help, reinstall video driver.
You may also try the monitor on another computer, or another monitor on your computer. Many, many thanks!!!What exactly did you do?Yeah, any ideas what the problem was? (did you fix it?)No unfortunatly I haven't yet.
I haven't reset the video driver yet...Oh, so the problem isn't fixed....

I would try to reinstall the Video Card Driver.Ok I havn't reset my Video Card Driver yet but here are some more Details that might help you help me...ANYWAYS:

When the mouse is used period the screen goes blank and on my screen I will get messages such as "Auto Adjustment In Progress," or "Input Signal Out Of RANGE."

If I hold any key down for more than one second then the screen "jumps" and sometimes does the same as above.

I can STILL do everything that I would normally like watch videos, etc., and I basically guess where my mouse goes EVERY time I need to click on something. I have switched out the mouse and moniter and came up with the same results.

Hope this helps more.

Thanks, CodySince you haven't done it yet why not try the suggestions above ? ?
They just might work...and if none of those suggestions work its time for a new video card BUT MAKE SHURE to try all of the above suggestions 1st
