Answer» I have a Dell with Windows 2000 OS. Lately, my screen will go 95% dark as if it is going into hybernation, but when I try to REVIVE it, it stays dark. Now, the screen stays about 95% dark even on start up. What could be wrong and how do I fix the problem?Which MODEL did you say this was? And how old? And what BIOS REVISION (on the boot up screen)? Without info we are just guessing. Cinead: Have you TRIED to adjust the brightness and contrast on the monitor? There should be a button to press that allows you to choose either option. DocCan you play "monitor musical chairs" with another computer? Tip: I've sometimes found that backing off the resolution and colours will sometimes help this problem.
