Answer» In the October issue of WIRED there is an interesting article about two scammers who were RESPONSIBLE for many of those pop ads that warned you "you are infected", down load our software now to clean your system, which did absolutely no good. If you don't receive the magazine look for a copy. BTW they are now out of business and on the RUN from the law. I remember a pop-up which displayed a screen exactly similar to "My Computer" and "ran" a "virus scan" which would say YOUR SYSTEM IS INFECTED.... etc. Users who had not as much experience with COMPUTERS were in anguish, even on Macs.
