Answer» I am trying to understand what the roaming files are for as recorded in my PC - any danger that they represent eavesdropping from sources external to my PC? Why should I have any roaming activity in my PC? Thanks for not laughing at my questions - I ain't too swift with computers...They are for when using Roaming User Profiles, either with or WITHOUT Active Directory on domains. It allows users to have their own settings whichever computer they log onto. Just leave it, even if you are using a single machine not on a network. Generally, it's where applications keep their APPLICATION specific data; for example, games might PUT their high score tables there, Applications might put their INI settings and configuration info there, etc. |
