The VHS format has finally died. Even though most of us probably thought it was already long GONE, its death certificate was signed when Distribution Video Audio of Palm Harbor, Florida--the last major supplier of VHS tapes--shipped the last of its saleable stock.now how am i supposed to RECORD my tv shows! i dont have a recordable dvd player and my tv tuner wont work this is terrible!QUOTE from: computeruler on December 30, 2008, 10:45:01 PM

You can still purchase the blank cassette tapes... just not the cassette tapes that have video on them already.

My cousin has quite the collection of VHS tapes... its amazing. Though, his family sends them to his brothers to be converted to DVD now, just a faster format, and a lot smaller. They have shelves filled with tapes.

I'd love to mess around with the television STATIONS old VHS machines... they used automated systems, quite like JUKEBOX record player, to play their media.

yay! i can still tape my shows!
