I recently bought a new computer and therefore it is Vista which is slightly different to my old XP. I used to be able to go into my photos and if I didn't want them RIGHT click and then a pop up box would appear saying"are you sure you ant to delete this photo"Now when I do this the box doesn't appear- NOTHING happens, unless i close the page and reopen it and then it is there?? Any suggestions would be greatfuly appreciated I am getting very frustrated as just returned from holiday and want to delelte hundreds of photos that are rubbish!
Thanks Kay Try this. Left click on a photo and drag it to the Recycle BIN. Does that work? great thanks that works- though it doesn't resolve why they just won't right clickThey don't Right Click or the Delete Confirmation doesn't come up?nothing pops up after I've right clicked- and now it seems I can't even close the photo somethimes- so I do ctrl- alt- delete and after I've cancelled the shut down suggestion the delete photo pop up is there- I think that my brand new computer may have the lurgy!If this is a recent problem, perhaps System Restore is needed.cheers will try thathave restored pc back to initial restore pint- no improvement- does anyonew know if this is perhaps normal for Vista??It's definitely not normal. What about other folders, can you right click on, say, files in your Documents folder? If so, do you have a Delete option?yes it seems other things are okay to right click- pop up comes up straight away.- I've run a couple of virus scans and everything seems to be olay- it's just when I want to delete a PICTURE- the computer is definitely seizing up now when I right click- until I ctrl alt delete and then it's fine- and the delete option comes up- I suppose at LEAST it works- but for a new computer I don't think I should be having any problems at all!What happens if you click the file once, and then press the Delete key on the keyboard?
