Solve : Rename Drive Letter?

Answer»

Sorry I couldnt find my own answer for this, as I never done this. But the pc I'm GOING to sell is seeing the slave as E an I want it to be D. So that there isnt too much confuseion since the guy isnt very IT informed. He has trouble with tech stuff not fixing useing wise.Go to --> control panel/administrative tools/computer management/storage/disk management.

Select right click on DRIVE you want to change ...... and if the letter you want is available then choose and apply.

Sometimes D will be given to CD-ROM so - may have to change that first to a higher letter. But - if system ''used to'' CD on D it might make some things not find that. Hello.

And what do I do if this service do not want to start? Looks like it has to be a local service, but when I'm trying to go the way You've shown, system tries to launch some remote svc. It won't see a local prog.
The only available solution to me - it is reinstalling Windows . WELL, may be the time has come...Quote from: ChrisXPPro on August 27, 2008, 07:08:25 AM
