Hello,
Not sure if this is the right place for this but will start here anyway... I have a website icon on the desktop that I have been trying to delete but with every attempt the computer says it is no longer located in C /users /desktop, please verify items location and try again..I have checked Documents, Favorites and every place I can think of but unable to find it.... I can click on the icon and it will take me to the website so it is working, I have no other drives attached to the computer..
Any suggestions as how to deal with this so I can get rid of the icon would be appreciated....

I tried to OPEN the icon in question on the desktop and got this popup saying; the target "" of this INTERNET SHORTCUT is not valid. Go to the Internet Property sheet and make sure the target is correct".. it was working a short while ago and now cannot use it or delete it...not sure where to find the Internet Property sheet...

Thanks for your reply and input, I will make note of your suggestions for POSSIBLE future use....however, the computer may have solved the problem itself...I had shut down the pc last night and when I started up this morning, the icon was gone.. perhaps all that was required on my part was a restart..
