Answer» Hello. I have reset windows 10 but now when I try to access to my files it says they are encrypted, and I can not REMOVE the encryption because it's needs an old Certificate. I tried to recover with Bitlocker with my email but it says you dont have any keys with Bitlocker which made me think that files are not encrypted with Bitlocker Can you help me, please? I don't think you can feasibly recover the files. Resetting Windows creates a new USER SID, and it is the user SID that is used as a key to decrypt the files.

Without the old User SID, recovering the file contents is intractable.
