For some reason my file EXTENSION .asp got corrupt (was no longer associated)...
Going to my explorer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types, does not let me add it for some reason....
I click New add the info, associate my program with it, but nope... it simply does not work..
So I thought Registry...
SEARCHED there for it and found: My Computer\HKey_Classes_Root\.asp

When I click on it I get the error: Cannot open .asp: Error while opening key
So I though, maybe a permission issue.. Right clicked on it and there it shows:
Unable to display security information...

Trying to DELETE it also does not work...

So the question is:
How can I associate my .asp with my program again and/or solve the above issue?
Have you tried changing it in safe mode ? ?
To get to safe mode tap F8 repeatedly as the machine is booting and before you see the Windows splash screen...First off all Patio: Thank you for your fast reply!

Second:
For years I have been helping others with their pc issues... Many, many times I have told them "start in safe mode, blah blah"
Here I am having a small tiny issue, post my question and Patio comes along, ASKING me:  "have you tried in safe mode?"

So ok, I now FEEL like a total dumba$s!  haha 
I guess I was to involved with the issue to think about it....
