SumithNo to your last question.

As for getting into your Flash Drive, when you plug it in the computer go to My Computer and Right CLICK the drive.
Then go to Properties and tell us what format the Flash Drive currently is. (No, don't format it).MY PEN DRIVE IS NOT GETTING DETECTED IN THE MY COMPUTER SECTION.BUT WHEN I INSERT MY PEN DRIVE THE LIGHT GLOWS AND THE REMOVABLE DRIVE ICON APPEARS NESR THE CLOCK,BUT NOT DRIVE NAME IS VISIBLEBetter fix the CAPS LOCK key first.

Can you check if it works on another computer.Quote from: sumith

Sounds like it is screwed.
Sorry ! I have checked the same in other computer and laptop but the status is same.The drive is not getting reflected in my computer section and in control panel-system-device manager it shows ? symbol in usb drive.sumith, it sounds as if your pendrive is broken, and the data you had on it is gone for ever.
their is no physical damage to the pen drive nor it is broken from anywhereIs there a lock switch on it at all?Quote from: sumith on November 02, 2008, 03:17:05 AM

I was trying to use simple language so you would understand. If a professional data recovery company says that the data is not recoverable due to chip damage, then:

--- The pen drive is:

* FINISHED

* dead

* permanently non functional

--- And the data is:

* vanished

* destroyed

* permanently unavailable
