Solve : recover empty space from dvd?

Answer»

when data write on dvd let say 1 gb and dvd has size of 4 gb, 3GB remains empty.
when open properties of dvd, there shows USED 1 GB, FREE 3GB.

after some month empty 3 gb free space damaged and not able to store any data on it.
when we OPEN properties of dvd there shows USED 1GB, FREE O(ZERO), can we
recover 3 gb empty space to add more file on dvd.
If the DVD is damaged then it is no longer writeable and no more files can be added.
Also depending on what method is used if a DVD is "finalised" it can not be added to either...
Or if its a DVD-R then it can only be written to once.Quote from: reddevilggg on March 23, 2013, 10:12:52 AM

You can write more to a DVD, but it is not easy.
Surely you WOULD not want to even try if it is a bad DVD.

Does the OP really want to pursue this? I think it was done in some Linux distros. Never heard of it in Windows.
