Solve : quicktime running flash files on internet!?

Hello,

How do i change the settings in quicktime so that it doesn't override flash player?  Websites are not working correctly when this is happening....any help would be highly appreciated.  Probably not right place to ask this, but thought I would try anyways:)

mh88I would never recommend even loading QuickTime. Can you uninstall it? What happens then?There is a 'quicktime alternative' like 'realplayer alternative' available.i use quictime for my work so it is necessary for me to have it installed.  ANYONE know how to fix my problem while keeping quicktime?

mh88Quicktime likes to be the default for everything. Good luck and keep us posted.WMP>Tools>Options>File Types>TICK  does anyone have a solution for this?

windows media player and then select file types?...i switched all to on...no EFFECT...

mh88I must of misread your original question.  
What is 'flash player'?when i got new laptop i was installing software...first i added macromedia flash player(.swf) so that I could get flash when i use browser.  LATER I installed quicktime and what happens now is that quicktime is reading the .swf instead of flash... i need this to change for flash files to work correctly.  I looked at the type of files to associate with quicktime and i do not see .swf as an option so there must be another way to get quicktime not to run these files...hope this MAKES sense...

PaoloIf I know XP which I dont Start-> Control Panel (View as Classic!) Double click on quicktime Click on the file type tab and just unselect all unless you want to do it manually. Flash shoulbe under Mallencoisious. Geeze Terrible speller.
