I've been having a RECURRING problem with my quicktime. Anytime I try to run an APPLICATION that involves quicktime it says "Your software is out of date" Not a big problem here, but when i click UPDATE my computer will generally freeze up. Finally I got an update through and the pop up still comes up, I've tried re-installing it etc... nothing seems to get rid of this 'your software is out of date" Even through multiple updates, I'm looking for some help thanks!One question I would LIKE to ask.....Do you need Quicktime?
There are better free and faster alternatives out there.I currently own an ipod and it is necessary for itunes to run...
Unless there is an alternative player that works with the ipod I am pretty much hooped. Though I am interested at looking into the alternatives for quicktime.Not SURE if this would help but - if you are using the ''genuine'' quicktime - maybe uninstall that and go find ''Quicktime Alternative". (There is also a "Real Alternative" too.)

It carries less baggage!
