Answer» Hi all
Firstly i apologise if i have put this in the wrong forum as i am am not sure what is ausing the issue?
okay the issue is that my new / second hand laptop seems to have built in speakers and it definetly has a headphone jack in the front HOWEVER neither wll let me listen to sound. no thyre is a BLUE function on the f8 key with tthe symbol for muting and unmuting however however many times i press it i ge tthe same speaker symbol with a no entry sign next to it.
In control panal i went to the audio devices thing there is none listed and thyre is no volume control anywere on the laptop which is a little wierd. A bit about the laptop its an acer travelmate 2413lm.
ok i will be amazied if anyone can sort it from that but feel free to answer questions thanks for your help guys.
mattDid you recieve a Driver CD with this laptop ? If so CHECK it in WINDOWS Explorer and see if there are Sound drivers...if so try installing them.Nope no disks with it unfortunalty is there somehting i could try downloading off the internet?
Thanks for helping
mattSure. Most drivers are available at the manuf. site... Travel there...visit the Support section and ENTER the machines info...
P.S. IMPORTANT: Laptop drivers should always come from the manuf. site...not 3rd party.
