Answer» Good morning,
I am using an aging Packard Bell 4610 Legend, Pentium, Mhz 120/72RAM, running Win95a with IE 5.01, SP#2.
Someone told me I MIGHT be able to download and use WMP 7.1 on my system EVEN though it wasn't supported by Microsoft.
I went to this site: http://www.pppr.sk/rainbow/wmp71w95.html
and followed the directions but couldn't pull it off. When I went to execute the batch file after unpacking the zip files I got a message saying I was trying to install something that was not supported on my systam.
Just curious if anyone else has had any success in putting 7.1 on Win95.
Thanks and regards,
2harts4everits for win98 upwards but why not try again from this site>http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/playerV7.aspxHi merlin,
Thanks for suggestion. Just TRIED that site and when I tried to install the setup program the message about trying to install it on an unsupported operating system came up and wouldn't let me go any further.
I appreciate your help. Guess I will stick with WMP 6.4.
Regards,
