Here is my problem.  I can not do things like open WORD documents, uninstall programs, install programs...

my errors upon starting the computer are
c:windows/system32/autoexec.int  
and
svaplayer.dll not found

I don't understand computers very well and I dont know where to start with my problem.  If someone would POINT me in the right direction I could start trying to follow the basic steps.

I hope this is a easy question for those of you who understand these machines.  I appreciate your help.  Kari1) What OS?
2) What processor TYPE?
3)How long has problem been occurring?
4)Have you recently changed anything in your computer?Sorry, WIndows XP, has been running slow for a month or so I cleared hard disk space, defraged, tried norton anti Virus-which wouldnt run normal mode but put into EMERGENCY virus repair-took 56 hours no virus found.  

The only thing I did recently  was use firefox vs explorer.  Now I cant unistall that or any anti spyware (microsofts) to reinstall and try again.
