Solve : Problems with opening WMV file?

Answer»
I have a serious problem with opening one WMV FILE. When I try to OPEN it with Windows media player, I became the following error message:
"A Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) component encountered a problem. If you are trying to use a file that you obtained from an online store, try going to the online store and getting the appropriate usage rights."

I cannot play the movie with any other program – I became error messages with all video players.
What can I do?
It sounds like the file is protected with DRM. Do you have the appropriate license to view the file? I.e. have you bought the file from a online store? No, I haven't bought it from an online store, but I downloaded it using eMule. Although it really seems that it is protected file.
Can be something done to play it?I doubt you'll get the file to play

There are ways of removing DRM but thats up to you if you want to research it further, as peer-to-peer file sharing is illegal (in my country anyway) ... peer-to-peer file sharing is illegal - Plus it destroys your pc - PM for SAFE DOWNLOAD sites....

You could try running it with VLC, the only other thing is to break the DRM "Which this site does not condone"
