Answer» I had some computer issues and decided to reinstall XP. Got a virus or something. I downloaded Google Desktop and everything just went bad from there reboots SLOW computer etc etc.. Anyway, I deleted the partion STARTED the reinstall. Everything seems to be going fine but when it starts to copy files I get "cant copy file" screen "press enter to retry press ESC to skip" so I tap ENTER some files will copy and some wont so I have to escape and skip them. In the end XP wont WORK because of the missing files. Any ideas on how to get XP to install or why this is happening. I have tried to reinstall a couple times and happens every time.Is it genuine Windows XP CD? If so, clean it. See, if the CD works in another computer. Just to get you started...Either the CD or the CD drive is dirty. Clean the DISK and if that doesn't help SWAP out your drive.
