Solve : problem in setting a partition to "active"?

Answer»

when i start my netbook i have to type in some CODES into GRUB to boot XP

i think that the problem is because grub doesnt find an active partition, because in Disk Management, there is no "active" partition, and for some reason, the "Set partition to active" option is not available when i TRY to set XP to active.

i just deleted Fedora 10 from my netbook and the grub is still active, is there a way to disable GRUB?
how can i set my partition to active? is there a way to access fdisk on a netbook? also i dont have a Recovery Console (which is dumb)Download Recovery Console here and use an ISO burning software to burn it to disc..  Be SURE your CD/DVD drive is set as priority in the boot order.. Boot off the CD and type: fixboot

edit: sorry, this COMMAND should be USEDfixmbrRemoving GRUB
