The upper bar says desktop-notepad
So I want to know howto get rid of this and other things0-thanks karllooks like somebody accidentally dragged the desktop.inf file into the startup folder-
we still need more info though- Windows Version?I have windows XPalright then, what(if anything) do you have in your startup folder? (Start->programs->Startup)I can get to start then programs but how do I get to startup?Go to 'All Programs' and report the contents of the Startup folder.OK- I have MS office which does nothing when I click it the other says desktop and I will paste it here [.ShellClassInfo] [email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787 Good job - Please wait and BC_Programmer will advise you.try moving the "desktop" item out of the startup folder. Thanks for helping remove that desktop-notepad item from opening every time I startup! Hopefully you can help remove the following in some similar fashion. These are all in a folder titled Acrobat.com. There are 3 closed FOLDERS one is called META-INF, one called assets and last one named bin-debug. The files are an XLM document named version, one that says mimetype File both of these are 1KB and the last just says Acrobat.com.
I'm not SURE I UNDERSTAND what your TRYING to do. Where is the acrobat.com folder? On the desktop?
What happens when you try to delete it/them?It pops up on the desktop every time I startup.I did not want to delete them if it might cause a problem. I do not know how to describe what pops up other then the following. These are all in a folder titled Acrobat.com. There are 3 closed folders one is called META-INF, one called assets and last one named bin-debug. The files are an XLM document named version, one that says mimetype File both of these are 1KB and the last just says Acrobat.com.
So- is this an explorer window that's appearing, showing a folders contents? Its a folder called Acrobat.com that has the items that I listed in it. This is "before" I go on line - It pops up when windows loads upAlright- I have an idea.
Download a program called "autoruns":
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
Run it- once it finishes, use File->Save As to save a log.
Attach that log to your NEXT post, and I'll take a look.
