It comes free with Verizon...

I don't think there were really any terms or conditions, but there were for the DSLSet up your Verizon account in TBird...

Go to Hotmail and export your contacts to a .csv file...

OPEN TBird and import your .csv contacts...

DRAFT a message saying "my new address is blah , blah, blah...

Send it to EVERYONE in your new contact list.

Done.

You can now use your Hotmail for what it's worth----a disposable account.

It's real easy...I'd still go for Gmail. I re-opened my Hotmail account and I allready received 16 spam messages so far. and "3 requests" whatever the *censored* those things are.
