Answer» the computer came ;up with a blue screen said something about an error there was no time to read it before it shut down know when i turn it on the monitor gose to standby like its not on an the keyboard dose not light up it just beebs three times and then it dose nothing but sit there. it sounds like its running and the disk drive will open and if you put a disk in it trys to read it.
i dont know what to do please helpWhat won't work? Does this only happen when you perform a certain action on the computer? A game or something?
[glb]FLAME[/glb]it will not come on all that happens is you can here the fan start up. then it BEEPS three times and just sits there with the fan going. the moniter reacts as if the computer is not on and it gose into stand by, there is no sound from the speakers and the keyboard dose not come on....So now, your computer will not startup at all? Possibly hard disk failure... Maybe the heat sink has gone dead...
[glb]Flame[/glb] balrog..... 3 beeps .......sounds like a ram problem possibly ........TRY blowing out the dust and then remove and reseat the ram ......
BTW ....which bios are you using /
dl65 how do you reset the ram, i took it out a nd then put it back it still dose not work
im not sure of the bios but ill check and will post it tomorowMaybe the RAM is not compatible? (Not sure about that)
[glb]Flame[/glb]The RAM came with the PC when i bought it not even two years ago it is 256 DDR RAM 266Have dislodge the graphics card.....recheck if able to do so!!..........i also assume you have opened the case!Ok... Lets have a look at that error message... Right-click on the My Computer icon, and click on Properties... Click on the Advanced Tab... Next, look at the bottm where it says Startup and recovery... You should see a button next to it that says settings.. Click on that... Look for the check box that says automatically restart... Click on that check box, and make sure that it is UNCHECKED... After, click ok, and ok again. Now... Find a way to get that error message, and tell us what it says...

Don't know if you have it fixed yet. If not, you can try removing CMOS battery to rest boot command to default.
Unplug computer. Take off back (or side etc). On motherboard there is a large round flat silver battery. Remove. Wait 30 seconds. Put it back. This will will reset start up commands.
Plug computer in. Turn on.
Anything working??
If not, I seriously think your hard drive has crashed. Do you have an old one laying around you can connect to test system?
If not, you may have to junk the computer. Is an old one - what CPU do you have, how much RAM, what hard drive etc.
Sometimes you just have to SAY "enough is enough." How much of your lfe can you spend looking at a computer that doesn't work?That sounds like the blue screen of death.
