Answer» Hi there,
I am having problems with my PC. I had it at school and it worked flawlessly when connected with high-speed. But its the DIAL-UP that is causing us some problems at home! I checked with the ISP and everything is fine and even the OLDER computer works fine with it. Here's the facts:
- Connects to the Internet no problem. - Internet EXPLORER works- slow. but works. - MSN ( Windows Live Messenger) signs in SOME of the TIME. - iTunes does not recognize internet connection.
- When I use Trouble shoot with Windows Live Messenger, it says theres a problem with the DNS. What is DNS? Is there problems with the settings? PROXY server?
I keep reading articles on how to help and what to do but I don't understand what DNS or Proxy server is!? Please help, this is so frustrating! Thank you very much!
