Solve : Play Audio/Video issues on Windows 8.1?

Answer»

Some times out of the blue my play BUTTON on youtube and all other SERVICES (such as spotify) will stop working. I can still click the play button, and the interface reacts to it, but the clips/audio etc. do not progress in time. So it is just a still frame.

The weird thing is that it does not only affect youtube, but all other services that support some sort of audio/video. This is not only the case within my current browser (chrome) but occurs in firefox, IE and so on.

I am quite curious what the issue might be, let me know if you need additional information.

Check to see if your getting what your paying for.You could try this but it appears to be a problem with your ISP.
Please download and run MS Fix-it from here. Quote from: SuperDave on April 21, 2014, 07:26:11 PM

This is what your link spits out: We're sorry, but your operating system is not supported by Microsoft Fix it at this time.

I am pretty sure my ISP is not to blame in this case, what could it be besides that?Windows 7 and 8 has a feature called Action Center. You can access this by clicking Start, Control Panel, Action Center and click on Maintenance.Any reason you are ruling out your ISP ? ?

SpeedTest gives me 60 mbs down and 20 up, and the reason I ruled it out prior to testing it is that only the services that 'play' something are affected by the issues, gaming and everything else works fine.

On a side note I think I might've solved the issue. When the error occured again I plugged out my extern audio-interface and reconnected it to a non-USB 3.0 port which seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for helping guys!Good to hear you are fixed up...Welcome Aboard !
