i need help. i would like to know if there is a way to limit the ping time i have, i run xp and have a dial up connection. my ping rate is ANYWHERE from 300-999+ in the game i play. can i bring this down and control it ?

We definitely understand your frustration with receiving high pings. Unfortunately however there is no way to control the ping, the ping is the time it takes for your computer to send a packet to another computer and get it back and is all based off of the speed of your connection and the game servers. Two suggestions that could help are to try alternate servers, as some servers may be closer and allow you a better ping and of course if available you should definitely consider broadband.

Strictly speaking at light speed he's not even half way through his journey there and back. I have made a memo in my calender for around sep 2013.. I have not worked it out to the exact date because lets be fair that would be crazy...
