Solve : Outlook doesn't like user? |
|
Answer» HI, I've GOT a user running an XP machine and connecting to our EXCHANGE 2003 server. On Monday he opened Outlook and it crashed out on him. Wouldn't open up at all. He can, however, access it through the server via the web browser and check his mail. We run roaming profiles, so I get him to log on elsewhere and yet the problem continues (outlook 2003 crashes out). So I try repairing the *.pst file and now Outlook opens up, but won't SYNCHRONISE with the server. I've repaired it using scanpst, but STILL no joy. I log on as admin and I can open his account in outlook no problem, so there's something attached to his profile that's causing the problem. Using the browser is still good, but the user wants to use his laptop remotely, and of course you can't do that with the browser. So it looks as if theres a problem with the users roaming account, and short of creating a new one for him I'm coming up with a blank. Anyone got any ideas what I could try to either isolate the problem or fix it? Many thanks Cal |
