Answer» Hi Again, I have lots of Wordpad docs from my 95 and I want to open them in XP but it SAYS I can't. I have tried renaming them txt and rtf but I get rubbish. The list of downloads available confuses me. I do not have any office or special word programs or Excel, just wordpad. Best wishes Dave EYou WOULD have to open them in Word 6.0 and then save them as RTF files. You could also download the Word viewer from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=95e24c87-8732-48d5-8689-ab826e7b8fdf&DisplayLang=en This would ALLOW you to look at them but not change them.
