Solve : Opening Email attachments? |

Answer» I use Outlook Explorer 6 on Windows 2000. When opening an Email attachment I got the "Open With" window, Selected Adobe Reader 9 and then stupidly clicked "Always use this program to open attacments". Now attachments other than pdf files will not open, and I do not find the window where I can reverse this INSTRUCTION. Can SOMEBODY please help me.If you right CLICK on a document type, i.e. Word (the one you chose to use pdf with as well) and choose properties, you can select there which program to use as the default for that media type.Thanks pcwizard for the advice. However I still do not seem to GET it right. Where should I right click on document type as you suggest? When for example I try to open a .jpg file I get the screen that asks if I want to Open or Save to Disk. If I select Open it goes by default to Adobe Reader which does not recognise the file type and to open the file I must first save it in a temporary folder. Am I missing something? I no longer get the screen which gives me the "Open with" option.Instead of changing the file ASSOCIATION in the email app do it from Search....do a search for *.jpg......in the results pane right clik any of the files and do it from there.You don't even need to search for the files if you already have one to click on. Right click the file and choose properties (at the bottom) then at the top choose 'Change' under 'open with' section |
