Answer» I have an old computer that I have not used In about a year. A friend of mine said that I need to RUN It once In a while, or the parts INSIDE COULD rust. Could this be true?It won't rust, except in EXCEPTIONAL circumstances. It shouldn't matter how often it is run, I've picked up computers that haven't been run in 5 years, working perfectly.the only way it would "rust" (corrode is the more precise name, as a computer doesn't contain any iron/steel (well, maybe the case)) is if it got wet. In which case it wouldn't run ANYWAY.
