Solve : Not given the option to burn pictures to a disc?

Answer»

I dabble in photography, and recently shot a wedding.  I took the memory card out of my camera, put it in the usb drive and downloaded the IMAGES to my laptop.  I wanted to select the better pictures to provide to the couple, so I created a separate folder to put them in.  Then when trying to BURN the to a disc.....I was not even given the option to do so.  Usually there is an option that says copy files to CD or burn to CD or something along those lines, however this time there was NO option at all.  I put the memory card and usb drive in my home PC, and the same thing.  So decided to try another PC......3 PC's later and still the same OUTCOME. No option to burn these images to a disc.

I have been doing this for a couple years and never had a problem until now.  Any reccommendations?I'm not sure what steps you are taking when attempting to copy to CD but this is how I do it.

Open the folder and click on Edit \ Select All (all images should be selected at that point.

On the left-side menu, I select Copy to CD (with CD in drive)  The wizard makes it very easy.

I hope this helps.

Those are the steps I always took before, but this is where I'm running into the problem now.  There is no longer the option to COPY TO CD.
Can you tell US the specs of your machine and what burning software you have installed?

Also when you look in the device manager do you see any yellow ! marks?

Okay, I'm computer illiterate....what specs are you talking about?  The burning software is whatever comes with Windows XP.

I'll check and see if there are any yellow !'s, if you tell me how to get to the device manager.Right click my computer and go to properties. Look for the tab called hardware.

When you open my computer do you still see your CD drive? What happens if you put a music CD in the drive? Does it play?
