I DON'T HAVE ANY SOUND, WHEN I GO TO CONTROL PAEL AUDIOHQ WONT OPEN. ALSO MY SOUND ICON HAS GONE FROM MY PANEL. PLZZ HELP

I'm sorry I don't know what type of sound card.I'm runing win 98, b 4 this HAPPEND I closed the computer down and didn't realise it hadn't closed down properly for some time

My Computer>Right click>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager.what should i be looking for there? I have found PCI card which says it is disabled (code 22)

is th relavent to sound?Was the pci card under the sound entry?

http://www.lavalys.com/With Audio HQ it sounds like a SoundBlaster card. When this happened to me I had to re-seat the card in the mainboard.

Make sure that you take adequate anti-static precautions before doing so.
