Solve : No power from motherboard?

1.	Solve : No power from motherboard?
Answer» I'm a new biginner but ,I'm very interested on the hardware end of the comp. spectrum.. My GRANDSONS comp.stopped functioning after a storm hit & blewout the TRANSFORMER on the light pole. The comp can be turned on with the case switch, the CPU fan goes on the led light ,the drives work[hd,cd/dvd] but no power to the monitor,usb ports!!! The psu I checked out with meter all wattages are correct. Now I think that the problem is with the CPU or motherboard....? Does anyone know what else it could be? this happened to me with a lighing storm and it blow the mother board , REPLACE it and ALSO get an anti surge extension LEAD for the pc , should stop it again
