Solve : No Green Color component problem??

Answer»

Does this mean my monitor needs replacing, or is it a different PROBLEM?  In Windows 98, after working fine, the color quality just changed while I was away from my desk & though I am ABLE to manipulate the color spline in the Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/Color, I notice that the color control curve for Green affects no changes.

This has left me with annoying neon colors, especially red/yellow tones (at least I think that's the reason), so now I am only left with the red & blue factors as colors.  Any SUGGESTIONS?  I did try reloading an earlier working registry, as that worked for someone with font trouble, but that didn't help here.  Hopefully someone can help, because I've got mega eyeball burnout! :-/!
Thank you!!It's EITHER your video card or your monitor. Try DOWNLOADING current drivers, and try another monitor on there. And maybe even try that monitor on another computer. Let's see where the variable is.

What graphics adapter and computer make/model?Thanks so much - I'll try switching the monitors, then try the driver downloads (the device manager said I didn't need to, but it's all suspect now! haha) - We've got another PC in the house, so that won't be hard.

The problem PC is an ETower 333c with ATI 3D Rage IIc AGP Graphics with 4MB SDRAM - is that what you needed to know?  I'm not so hot on that end of the computer spectrum, so let me know if you need more info or I gave you the wrong answers - Thanks again!Should be EXTREMELY easy to get drivers for that card. It's compatible with everything (except today's gaming) and a very good chipset.Make sure your video cable is plugged in properly.Br33.....Given that you still have the reds and blues ....I would guess its your monitor that is the problem ......the green emitter isnt working.

dl65  Thanks to all - the monitor was indeed the culprit - all is well & my eyes are on the road to recovery.  Thanks again!
