Solve : No driver for Multimedia audio device? |
|
Answer» Quote I believe you need at least Windows 98SE. We have some old driver CDS around. That is going to be a common problem with an OS that old. Tell me about it, but i make do, cos there's not much else I can do. I'm fairly used to it, working with old computers.Sent off for disk today, about 5 SECONDS after I put it in the letter box, I remembered that Royal Mail had changed their pricing system...I think the 1st class STAMP I put on it barely covers it...We shall see!Disks arrived today. Setup file gave error message saying that my OS wasn't compatible again! However, after some thorough browsing, I did manage to find the install file for a Realtek AC97 driver. It was the closest one on the disk, what with it holding hundreds of DIFFERENT drivers. Installed without a hitch, and I finally heard beautiful music out of my speakers! Thankyou all for all your help. It is appreciated |
