Bobcheck the boot order in bios. The boot priority is
1st  floppySorry
The boot piority is
1st floppy
2nd disable
3rd bbs-0 (raid)
4th cd/dvd
is this OKMY computer bootsequence goes A, C, SCSI. I don't have a forth one though. Thats new to me. Its cause my computer is 5 years oldMake the list as follows:

  • IDE 0
  • CD-ROM
  • FDD
  • Disabeled

Disable Boot from other devices if present.Tried changing the boot order, but still the warning pops up.
bobDont know if this as anything to do with it, but have just been into my computer and without any disk in any of the removeable drives, I tried opening each one and got the message (insert disk into drive) as you would, eccept cd rw drive that seemed to open with a blank page. I have removable drives  DVD  D:   CDRW  E:   F: G: and  A: drive.
Could this be anything to do with it.
Its driving me up the wall.
Cheers

BobIt seems my PROBLEM could be in the regestry, I disconnected my  combi A: drive and the problem went, but when I reconnected it returned.
Can anyone offer any help on this one?
Thanks

As far as I am aware, your registry is not being used whilst booting..

Your Boot.ini, is though. The message is the last thing to appear on the desktop, is this still classed as boot up?
BobNot quite, I believe. When Windows is loading the PC has 'booted'..

Is there a program during start-up which is trying to access the FDD?
