The last time my CPU worked, it froze and I attempted to reboot, however, after i chose to restart in safe mode, the computer acts LIKE it is starting windows, but then it just shuts down, the monitor goes BLANK and the power light blinks green.

Open the case while the computer is turned on.

Did you overclock your system? Perhaps resetting your BIOS to failsafe or standard defaults will solve the problem.Thanks for the suprisingly immediate help, one more question however, how do i reset the BIOS if windows never opensThe BIOS does not require Windows in order to function.

Did you check to see if your fans are operating properly? You should not attempt to start your computer with fans that are MALFUNCTIONING, the heat may seriously damage your processor.Well, I am working RIGHT now so i havent turned it on, but once i get home, your SUGGESTIONS will be put to work.  Thanks a bunch
