Need help to find lost bookmarks:

Have been operating with Netscape v7.1 for quite some time now. Until about a month ago, I had a vast file of bookmarks that I use very frequently in my position as a council member in my city. On a recent occasion, when there was a power failure while my Netscape program browser, bookmarks and mail windows were open, when I restarted my computer, all that was left of my vast bookmarks was a few that I had recently added but not yet sorted into categorical folders I maintain for all my bookmarks. The heirarchy for my Bookmarks Manager file was:

(main folder) Bookmarks for airhart
(subfolder within main folder) MARILYN P. MOONEY'S BOOKMARKS
(categorical sub-folders within above subfolder) i.e., ACCOUNTS, COMPUTER RESOURCES, LOOKUP RESOURCES, CITY/COUNTY/STATE/FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SITES, SHOPPING, etc.
(individual bookmarks in alphabetical order within each categorical folder)
(subfolder) BOOKMARKS TO BE FILED
(individual unsorted bookmarks in the folder)

All that now appears as existing within the main folder "Bookmarks for airhart" which, when EXPANDED, are a few individual bookmarks I added in the last few days after losing all the others. THE STRANGE THING ABOUT ALL OF THIS IS: if I do a search for a bookmark within bookmark manager for a PARTICULAR bookmark name I remember that was one of the vast number of bookmarks my bookmark manager file contained until recently, it will bring up the particular one I searched for which leads me to believe that all of my missing ones and the categorical sub-files containing them, as well as the subfolder "MARILYN P. MOONEY'S BOOKMARKS" (which contained all the categorical sub-folders) must still exist SOMEWHERE in my system; but a Windows Explorer search only turns up older versions of it from a year ago when I imported a copy of them into Internet Explorer from Netscape (as I sometimes have to access certain sites through IE rather than Netscape). I DESPERATELY NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIND AND ACCESS ALL OF THESE BOOKMARKS THAT ARE NOT APPEARING IN MY NETSCAPE BOOKMARKS MANAGER BUT MUST BE SOMEWHERE IN MY COMPUTER IF I CAN FIND THEM ONE AT A TIME BY DOING A SEARCH FOR A SPECIFIC BOOKMARK NAME! All of my bookmarks for paying my bills, doing my banking, and HUNDREDS of other bookmarks I use constantly to perform my job are in some "black hole" I cannot seem to find. My fluency with computer terminology and my knowledge of my PC and its Windows XP operating system and Netscape program are not of any notable level, so if you provide me any instructions for finding these "Lost" bookmarks and folders in which they were filed, please keep it basic enough that I understand same. I will be ever so grateful for any help you can give me in this regard!!!
