Answer» I have .NET in my Add and Remove programs, and i was wondering if i really need it. I use e-mails, browse and buy, play games, use forums etc etc
I THINK it got installed through a update.
Any ideas???wHATSome application use .NET Framework. It's not crucial, because even if you don't have it installed, if any program NEEDS it, it'll TELL you.Broni's right...but if you have enough free space, I think you should just leave it alone. Because there are a lot of programs that use it, you might as well just keep it.Yeah, i think i will leave it, It was just that when i was looknig through Add and Remove programs i noticed ive got .NET 2.0 SP1 185 MB and .NET 3.0 SP1 245 MB and i just seemed alot 430 MB in total
But if you say so, Chris, i'll heed your genius and just keep it.
Thanks for the advice,
RDgggYeah, I know what you mean. I COULD be wrong, but I think that even if you have 3.0, some programs will still need to use 2.0. So far, I haven't run into any programs that need 3.0 yet, so you could always uninstall that until you end up actually needing it. Of course, if it's not giving you any problems, then it won't hurt to leave it alone. This is correct... The .Net packages are standalone and not cumulative as the service packs are.O.K, Thanks again for the advice,
