Solve : Need info about computer cooling technology?

Answer»

I am working on a project, and I am doing the history part of computer cooling, and I am having trouble finding any large amount of information, I find little things, but nothing big.  Those anyone on here know of any good sources about the history of computer cooling.  I found some info about how they cooled the first functioning computer.  Any help would be MUCH appreciated.   The first functioning (electronic) computer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENIAC used tubes, diodes, and RELAYS and took up the size of a building. The first computer was actually mechanical and not electronic to create excess heat. We can only assume that they had ventilation in the building to exhaust the heat, but my search turned up nothing to help

*Actually on the ENIAC page there is a picture showing the ventilation, but no info stating what they used for a system. This system ran on 150kW of power, so you can perform a calculation to come up with a good estimate as to how much heat was produced consuming 150kW. I think APC had a TOOL for calculating heat based on power consumption, since they have server racks and they sell cooling solutions I believe too in ADDITION to mounted fans in 42U cages.

Ended up finding a useful calculator here: http://www.mhi-inc.com/Converter/watt_calculator.htm attached pic below of results for 150kW.

Here is the father of the first computer:
