ok, so this morning when i opened my LAPTOP, i couldn't click on my ICONS and it gave me a black warning symbol when i dragged the mouse over the desktop. i went to the background/desktop section of the control panel, and it looked like the icons had become a part of the background itself. when i changed the background to something else, i couldn't see my icons anymore. i'm not exactly what you would call a computer genius, so TRYING to FIX this problem is getting frustrating for me.
please help- advice GREATLY appreciated!
thanks!retstart laptop......hold down the f8........options screen......start pc with the last good config.......and re-boot........have you played with the display settings/adavanced........colours......It sounds to me that you / or someone else has activated HTML desktop with hide icons features. Open the display properties and disable HTML desktop.
