Answer» When i play games like CoD4 it will say 86 ping then IAM running and all of a sudden i start lagging and i look at my ping again and it says 900 it happens in alot of games i play can anyone on help. I have operating system Windows Xp with 4gigs of ram and nivida 8300gs grapic cardPing is the time taken for your transmission to be sent. In other words, if you shoot someone, it will take 900 milliseconds (almost a second) for the other player to register the hit. BUT If your ping is 900 and the other player's ping is also 900, it will take 1.8 minutes for him to get shot.What i want to know is why when i play it jumps to 800 then it will go BACK down then jump back up later on and if i can fix ITI would think the best way to fix it is to make sure there is nothing else ACCESSING your internet. OTHERWISE, there isn't really much that can be done. For all we know, it could be where the server is located.how i do that ?
