Answer» I have an old ibm laptop and my son tried to put linux in it and a message came up saying it was a windows COMPUTER. he KEPT trying to install linux anyways. Now when I try and install windows I can't. Now this laptop wont let me format the c drive, or do a SCAN disk. I dont know what to do. How do I make this dumb laptop let me install windows 98? Any ideas besides THROWING the darn thing away. thanksWhat have you DONE to try and install Windows? Do you have a Windows 98 install disc?
