Answer» Hey guys sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, i'm trying to get or make a new Desktop my budget is about $800 i'm a gamer and would love to make one to play newer games like BF3 on good settings - any help would be appreciated thank you. For $800 you could build a good system, however you could also pick up say a desktop computer for $400 to $600 and perform an upgrade to that ( Video Card and maybe also Power supply ) and be able to play that game as well as many others.

This system above is a pretty good system and it comes with a free upgrade to 6GB RAM. Also has available 16x PCIe slot to install a BETTER video card. Power supply is 300 WATTS which is borderline for newer video cards, I'd upgrade that PSU to 500 watts minimum. Ok i have this computer at home atm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113073 that i use to play games like WoW , MW3 , Sc2 but i can only RUN them with good fps in medium or low i would like to be able to play newwer games at high settings not super ultra or super high but high so it looks good, you think the one i have if i upgraded some PARTS will be best or just start by making a new one? tyIf you wanted to save money, you could just upgrade your PSU and video card in your current computer. Thats what I did!You could upgrade to one of the AM3 processors (Athlon II, Phenom II) with your current PC, merlok, and along with that upgrade your graphics card to a HD 6850, which requires a 500W PSU minimum and which currently is the king of price/performance:

150W? Why not just hook it up to a bike dynamo? Quote from: Raptor on January 08, 2012, 06:16:02 PM150W? Why not just hook it up to a bike dynamo?
It's easier to just use a crapload of batteries!
