I was downloading music about an hour ago and all of the sudden my desktop icons are gone! along with my task bar. I have windows XP and i dont know what could have caused this help! See, if they are present in Safe Mode (restart your computer, and keep tapping F8 key until menu appears).There's a .vbs fix in the very reputable Kelly's Corner here - Line 195, RH column

I have never had to USE this fix but what I have used from KC has never been less than brilliant.

Edit: Please REMOVE your e-mail from here or you will be hammered with spam.I tried the safe mode EARLIER and it appeared and then disapeared over and over for about 5 mins then went back to nothin again yeah i tried it again and its just flashing periodically... off and on any ideads?How many illegal files did you manage to DOWNLOAD?
