Solve : My record collection?

Answer»

I do not remember if I posted about this or not. I've got a big record collection, and I do mean big. Most of my records are 45s, as well as a few 78s. (Both are by Elvis Presley.) I also have a list of LPs, but it's not updated. Anyways, here's the list. If you're going to post a reply, make sure you look through the entire list first. There are 32 pages. There's two types of records I have: Singles and albums. The singles are listed here. If anybody wants to see what albums I have, I'll have to put up a list. That might take me a little while.

You might notice that I'm lacking when it comes to The Miracles... I intend to get more records by them.

Boo, no Ink Spots! But kudos on The Coasters, Donovan, The Troggs, and The Turtles. It's a nice collection, but it seems a bit unorganized. Either that, or I'm not catching on to how you're ordering everything. You're not catching on to the order of the records. The artists are in the correct order, as are the records. I have the records organized first under the artists, and then by the release. The older records come first by each artist. The Beatles are the largest entry in my record collection.Yes,I have a good Califone portable record player.

I also have about 200 Albums and at least 400
singles 45 rpm.

Can't fake the sound of Vinyls.

2- 78 RPM's One is 'China doll' by: SLIM WHITMAN.

One is 'Invisible hands' A Gosphel by:Hank Snow a
Country music singer from the old days.He was from
Canada.

I also, have access to Jimmy Rodgers 78rpm's from the late 1920's

You know, I just typed up this big spiel about how your artists aren't in alphabetical order and they seem to just jump around, and as I was giving a really good example, I realized what the problem was... When an artist includes an actual person's name, you categorize it by last name. I totally didn't catch that until now. Sorry for attempting to call you out on it. Ha. Because of an abundance of psuedonyms (and how things are AUTOMATICALLY alphabetized on the computer), I always just go by first NAMES, so I didn't know what was going on.

Anyway, it's a nice collection you have. I'm tempted to catalog my own collection (I swear, I'm obsessed with making lists). It's not nearly as big as yours, but I've got some albums I'm fairly proud of. You should look into seeing if there's a program for cataloging records. I mean, there's one for DVD's and one for books...I'm sure there must be something out there for records.Does any one have any Wolfe Tones records?Quote
