My second computer has mysteriously lost it's network places!  How can I put them BACK so I can network again  I am running XP home with a Lynksys cable router.  Any HELP would be Great since I know nothing! :-/ "Mysteriously" and "computers" should not go TOGETHER. What happened prior to this? Does anyone use that computer but you? Are you up to date on adware/spyware/vius/trojan scanners?My room-mate uses the computer and has not used the network for the TWO computers.  He knows to leave most of the computer stuff to me.  I am up to date on all my spyware and adware and virus protection and run them regularly. I have not encountered any viruses or spyware lately. I use Norton antivirus, Spybot, and Ad-aware.<

Roomate is suspect at this POINT!  


Can you use a system restore for a point prior to this snafu?


 My roomate is alright   ::)OK, mabye not. He does know not to delete stuff like that. But I cannot restore any point past a few days.   Do you have a legal copy of Windows if you need to reinstall? (Just getting you ready early!)Yes I do.Can you delete and reinstall the component from within Add/Remove programs? Is this XP pro or home?XP Home.   What would I delete and reinstall? old post been revamped....This is new for me.  Where can I find the other post? Maybe it will help.
